During my sorority conference travel, I have learned to pack both my A-Selection Shoes and my B-Selection Shoes. Those terms are endearing to me. They come from my experience singing in the church choir. You marched in, stood, and sang throughout the entire service in your A-Selection Shoes. Those were the shoes chosen for appearance and presentation. Once the service ended, you kicked them off and slipped into your B-Selection Shoes so your feet could rest and recover. Both pairs mattered. Each served a purpose for a different part of the journey.
